We are now a Blue Ribbon Breeder. This is a distinction that involves the knowledge you have about best practices, the welfare of your dogs, the documentation around your care plans, and the aesthetics of your facility.
We are so excited to be Blue Ribbon. We have our continuing education submitted to the state. We have our surprise inspections include a state veterinarian. We keep our facility aesthetically pleasing with annual flowers in planters that match our buildings. We believe that holding our kennel to a higher standard by choice is the best way to be transparent about our breeding program.
Not much about the day to day operations and care is actually changed for this program. Our documentation does have to be immediate and precise. Our looks are now being judged, but we are continuing with the same great care we have always had.
